A new approach to treating serious pain

Adneuris is advancing a new kind of pain medicine: One designed to bring meaningful relief without the challenges patients and physicians have long faced.

Cebranopadol represents a new class of pain management with the potential to deliver what patients and physicians have long been waiting for: Strong pain relief with an improved safety profile.

At Adneuris Therapeutics, we are reimagining how pain can be managed with our investigational therapy, cebranopadol. We recognize that pain is highly personal and can have lasting effects, which is why effective pain management requires different options for different needs, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

The innovation gap in acute pain has left patients and physicians with limited choices for too long. That’s why Adneuris has developed a first-of-its-kind therapeutic that takes a novel approach of activating both Nociception/Orphanin FQ Peptide (NOP) and µ (MOP) receptors to modulate pain.

• As a dual-NOP/MOP receptor (dual-NMR) agonist, cebranopadol engages the body’s NOP pathway to enhance pain relief while reducing adverse effects like respiratory depression, dependence, and abuse potential.

• Opioids bind to the MOP receptor and create an imbalance in the body that leads to euphoria and dependence, simultaneously engaging the NOP receptor better controls those potential side effects.

How do dual-NMR agonists differ from conventional opioid therapy?

Convertional Opioid Therapy vs Dual-NMR Agonist

Data demonstrate that novel Dual-NMR agonists may provide significant benefits over preferential MOP agonists offering hope for patients with serious pain.
